ROSELAND BALLROOM
New York, NY
Soundcheck: Mozambique, Driver, My Soul, Ginseng Sullivan, Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress, Funky Bitch, Farmhouse, Jam

SET 1:

AC/DC Bag: Standard.

Wilson: Standard.

First Tube: Standard.

Ya Mar[1] The key shift is great fun! Trey's fills during Page's solo are so tasteful. By the late 8's this has got into a very repetitive space in a good way. Trey keeps repeating the same thing while Page and Mike get some tasty, supporting licks in. Page funks this one up big time as does Mike. Absolutely exceptional jam. Easy all timer and highly recommended! >

Mike's Song: Standard. >

Simple: Standard. >

It's Ice: Trey on mini keyboard during the jam.

When the Circus Comes: Standard.

Back on the Train: Standard.

Gotta Jibboo: Standard.

Taste: Standard. Lol at this being a jamcharts version.

Sleeping Monkey: Standard.

SET 2:

Punch You in the Eye: Standard.

Twist: Standard.

Waste: Has some extra mustard.

Piper: Standard.

You Enjoy Myself: Standard.

Run Like an Antelope: Standard. YEM paired with Antelope right after it is incredibly rare. Of the 487 times they have played Antelope they only played YEM right before it one other time, which also was in New York – 3.2.90 in Poughkeepsie!

Train Song: Standard.

Bug: Standard.

ENCORE:

Boogie On Reggae Woman: Standard. >

Cavern: Standard.

Summary: Ya Mar is the jam of the run. Yes, I think it tops the Ghost jam. This show seems like they were much more engaged and loose. But unfortunately, that did not lead to a bunch of heady jams. Would rate this as a 3.75/5.

Replay Value: Ya Mar

[1] Began in the key of G before switching to its normal key of A for an extended jam at Treys€™s on-stage request.

This show was taped for VH-1’s Hard Rock Live and was first broadcast on July 1, 2000. The show was announced only a week before the gig took place. Non-transferable wristbands for entry were sold at the venue box office the morning before the show, with a limit of one per person. Ya Mar began in the key of G before switching to its normal key of A for an extended jam at Trey’s on-stage request. During the soundcheck of this show, Driver and Ginseng were played multiple times, and there was a jam on Led Zeppelin’s Dancing Days before Long Cool Woman.
