MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 397

Welcome to the 397th edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the last of November. The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first person to identify the songs and dates of all three mystery clips. The clips are connected by a theme, but the theme needn't be part of the correct answer. Each person gets one guess to start – if no one answers correctly in the first 24 hours, I'll post a hint. After the hint, everyone gets one more guess before Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Good luck!

Hint: Technically, these jams were played in three different venues.

Answer: Congrats to @My_Powerful_Mind, who saw right through the hint and the CDT fake-out to identify the three jams played at three different Palace Theatres in three different US states, picking up his third MJM win: 11/20/92 "Self," 10/10/94 "Slave to the Traffic Light," and 12/29/92 "Tweezer." Next week's MJM will drop on Tuesday - in the meantime, enjoy this weekend's shows and swing by the blog in between recaps.

uctweezer This is definitely one of those MJMs that seems impossible but once figured out seems too easy. Because I imagine many folks will become frustrated and give up, I’ll throw you a bone and save you some time:

The first jam isn’t from Chalk Dust Torture, nor is it even a tease of Chalk Dust Torture, but it was played in a set in which they played Chalk Dust Torture!

Nice job. The '92 sound is like wrapping a warm, comforting blanket around you; ya dig?

@uctweezer (mocking tone) 'figured it seems to easy' . . . there has never been one of these that was 'too' easy.
