Welcome to the 98th installment of Mystery Jam Monday at Phish.net. As usual, we will be playing for an MP3 download, courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). A hint will be posted on Tuesday (if necessary) and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...
Wednesday Answer: Congrats to maddyb4me on his first MJ win, correctly guessing the 7/20/98 "Halley's." Few jams pack such a punch in barely 10 minutes. The Blog will return on Monday with its 99th Mystery Jam...

And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
I am sure people will get this pretty, pretty, pretty quickly.
Congrats man on the win and LOL on making it possible...just thank the blog though, as they are the ones doing this weekly for all of us, not me.
This jam sticks out in my memory very well though as one of the 1st Halley jams after the Hampton ride the fall before. This west coast 98 run was one of my favorite ever and this Halley's was definetly a part of it. This whole show rocked in my book from the gin opener to the SOAM and the Drowned + Sea and Sand giving props to the venue + location. This Halley's is even noted in the notes for the show I think here on .net as "disco-style" jamming or something. Very hot.
