Jam Chart for Big Black Furry Creature from Mars (10 entries)

Date City Timing Notes
1992-03-13 Providence, RI 3:14 -> in from "Antelope." A crazy and humorous version with Hawaiian and Three Stooges humor and other good stuff -> back to "Antelope" to conclude this incredible version.
1994-05-16 Los Angeles, CA 1:41 -> in from "RLAA." Crazy "Type II" version buried inside an awesome and improvisational "Type II" "Antelope." -> back to "RLAA."
1994-07-13 Patterson, NY 5:06 -> in from "Tweezer." "BBFCFM" is sandwiched in this "Tweezer" jam.
1994-11-22 Columbia, MO 7:02 -> in from "Runaway Jim." WILD version with extra screaming, silliness, profanity, and a bluegrass ending.
1994-12-01 Salem, OR 3:42 -> in from "Tweezer." First in a medley of songs which ultimately -> back to "Tweezer."
1997-12-11 Rochester, NY 8:11 Wild version that segues out of Roses Are Free. It's highly improvisational in that after about 3 mins of "normal" (so to speak) BBFCFM, a Sturm-und-Drang, plodding jam evolves and trudges along for a few minutes, and then the band drops out as Trey sustains a note, then a chord, and, well, nothing much happens for a minute or so, and then Trey counts-off and Ghost begins.
2003-07-15 West Valley City, UT 1:54 -> in from "Low Rider" as the segue-fest out of "Mr. Completely" starts to take shape. -> to "Buried Alive."
2003-07-15 West Valley City, UT 0:54 -> in from "Buried Alive" for more crazy "BBFCFM" action. > to "Ha Ha Ha."
2003-07-15 West Valley City, UT 0:39 > in from "Ha Ha Ha" for one more crazed bite of "BBFCFM." > back to "Mr. Completely."
2022-07-29 Raleigh, NC 2:55 The verses are played in a new arrangement, as @Sniff notes, perhaps more in the style of Dead Kennedy's than Husker Du, and gives this version a classic proto hardcore breakdown sound.
Jam chart versions are selected because of improvisational and other characteristics that distinguish these from typical versions of the song.
The jam chart team has highlighted some versions with a yellow background; these are the versions the team believes to be especially improvisational, or otherwise notable.
A purple date indicates that you were in attendance.
